Library of the BGBM, Access and Catalogues

User: The library is open to the general public.

Access: Opening hours Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. till 6.00 p.m. The entrance of the library is in the first floor of the Museum building in the  Koenigin-Luise-Str. 6-8. Access for disabled persons.

Use: Reference library, therefore consultation of literature on the spot only.

Capacity of reading rooms: 25 (main reading room), 10 (small reading room); additional 75 places in the stacks.

Technical equipment: Photostat devices, scanner; readerprinter/scanner for microfiches & microfilms; PCs with CD/DVD drive, printer and internet access; WLAN (with ZEDAT account only). 

Access to the collections: The conventional catalogues and a collection of reference works are available in the reading room. The main collection is stored in the stacks and arranged systematically. The stacks are accessible by appointment; alternatively, items kept in the stacks are provided without delay during the regular opening hours.
